Inclusivity

Finding a church can be hard. Wondering if you’ll belong and if you’ll be accepted. We get it. Many of us at Imago have been there ourselves.

That is why we are an inclusive church community — because we believe everyone is created in the image of God, the Imago Dei. It’s our unique qualities and differences that represent God more fully. We strive for equality across the spectrums of gender, LGBTQIA+ and race — and the ways in which those intersect. We honor, respect, and partner with other organizations that may be different than us, in order to serve the community. We want to be a safe space for people who have felt marginalized — a space to be who they are, share their viewpoints and be seen and heard. One of the ways we give space to different voices and experiences is through our Imago Voices blog. All are welcome around the table.

We are still on this journey and don’t pretend to have it all perfected. We might miss the mark sometimes. But we’re committed to listening, growing and trying again together. Feel free to start a conversation with our pastor or leadership team members with any thoughts or questions you may have.
