Sunday, September 12 from 5–7 PM House Churches will be meeting in four locations throughout the Peoria area. We’ll have a potluck meal (so bring a dish to pass) and talk about things we’ve been learning. These gatherings are open to everyone. Check out the map below to find the house church nearest to you.
Sunday, September 19 an all-church picnic is happening at Mineral Springs Park in Pekin. We’ll eat around noon and then have an afternoon full of games. You’ll want to bring your own lunch as well as some lawn chairs.
After lunch there will be a friendly competition between house churches in the following events:
• 3 on 3 Basketball
• Sand Volleyball
• Tennis
• Paddle Boat Race
• Miniature Golf
• Bags
• Softball
If you’re not yet part of a house church, don’t worry, you can still come out and join a team.

A women’s book study will begin on Tuesday, September 21 at 7:00 PM at Copper River in Peoria. We’ll be discussing Beth Moore’s new book, So Long, Insecurity. This past Advent season we challenged ourselves to fight the hyper-consumerism around the holidays and instead take that energy to make an impact in the world. We collected money to go towards drilling a well for people who don’t have access to clean water. The collection raised almost $6,000 which was enough to drill a well! We partnered with Living Water International and the well has been drilled in Ethiopia. You can download a PDF with the full report to see all the details.
