Community Fast + Meal

We invite you to join many in our community in fasting on Wednesdays during Lent and in sharing a simple meal to break our fast. The meal will be at 5:30 PM on Wednesdays in the Green Room at the Apollo Theater (311 Main St) in downtown Peoria. The cost is $5 and includes a catered soup and bread meal.
How to Receive Texts from Imago

During Lent we’ll be sending out daily prayers and scripture readings via text message. Check out this one minute video to see how to sign up to receive text messages. (To make the video larger: after you click play, click the button on the bottom right of the video which will make it full screen.)
If you prefer written instructions:
- Log-in to imagodeichurch.org (or sign up for an account if you don’t already have one).
- Click on “My Settings” in the upper right-hand corner.
- Click on “Communication Settings” in the middle of the page.
- In the right-hand column, choose your mobile carrier and enter your phone number. Also, make sure the box for “Entire Church Group” is checked (it’s just below where you enter your phone number).
- Scroll to the bottom and click “Save Settings.”

So we thought, “what if a bunch of people took advantage of these deals and donated the food in the black bags to stock the RiverWest food pantry?” We’re starting an email newsletter to help you do just that. We’ll do the work of finding the deals and then send the instructions to you in a weekly email. Then the few extra dollars you would usually spend on picking up food to donate will get you a lot more. When you subscribe you’ll also be added to a group in the Imago Online Community where you can post messages and share other deals you find along the way.
