Isn’t it amazing when you walk into a store and hear a song playing that you haven’t heard in 10 years and yet, you still remember every word? What we put in our minds stays there, especially when we are young. Reaching out to children is so important as they are growing and deciding who they are going to be in life. What they put in their heart and mind now is going to stick around for a long time.
At Imago Dei, our community includes so many children whose faith we want to encourage & support. We have a ministry geared specifically towards kids where they can learn Bible stories at their level & engage in purposeful activities, which teach biblical principles. During their time in Genesis, the kids will hear a Bible story and lesson, practice a monthly memory verse, and play games all while being surrounded by adults who care for and encourage them.
Sunday School
Our Sunday School hour is from 10:00–11:00 AM. We have classes available for children 3 years old through 6th grade. A nursery is available for parents of younger children who are volunteering or participating in an adult class.
Childcare During Services
During our services (8:30 & 11:15 AM) a nursery is available for children under 5. We encourage children 5 and up to participate in the service with their parents. If your child does become disruptive (not that your kid ever does that), you can hang out in the area outside the Sanctuary, called the Front Porch. The audio from the service is broadcast to there so you can still take in the service while your child colors or looks at books.
How to Check-In on Sunday

Head to the basement to check your kid(s) in to Genesis. Check-in begins 10 minutes before the service starts and we ask that kids are picked up 5 minutes after the service ends.

If it’s your first time, we’ll need to get a few pieces of information from you for security purposes and in case we need to contact you during service.

Your kid(s) will get a name tag that has a random code on it and you’ll get a matching tag so that only you can pick them up.

We’ll guide you to the age appropriate rooms.
Volunteer in Genesis
We’re always looking for people who are willing to serve our kids and volunteering in Genesis is one of the easiest ways to get connected at Imago. You’ll serve about once a month and it’s a great way to meet other Imago people.
