Our story is simple.
Several years ago, one small group became three; out of that community a church is being born, and a new story of redemption is being formed. We don’t have everything figured out -either in our lives or our church- but we’re passionate about taking the next steps towards wholeness, wherever that may lead.
We would encourage you to check out the Stories page for a better picture of how we are learning and growing. Each week someone in our community writes a short story about something that God is doing in their life and it is shared via our weekly email and the website. This collection of individual stories is a window into the bigger story that God is writing for Imago Dei.
What To Expect (on Sundays)
OUR GATHERING
First off, come dressed however you’d like. No big deal. Most of us prefer jeans. Our gathering is pretty simple. Grab a cup of coffee and a Bible. In no particular order, we sing, are taught from the Bible, and share our stories. Simple.
WHERE WE MEET
We have two gatherings- 9:00 & 10:30 AM- in the 3rd-floor ballroom of the Gateway Building on the Peoria Riverfront (Google map). The entrance is on the right side of the archway. Near the Gateway Building is a large Caterpillar parking lot that is open to the public on Sunday mornings.
CHILDREN
On the second floor of the Gateway Building, we have two children’s rooms: one for babies/toddlers and the other for children through second grade. We take security seriously, so plan to get there 10 or 15 minutes early to fill out some paperwork the first time you drop your children off. For older children, feel free to bring colored pencils or other writing implements into our gathering.
